About Us

Our Journey

What started as a small voluntary effort to revive Mangalore’s green cover quickly grew into a mission to restore balance between nature and urbanization. Our first step was planting fruit-bearing trees near Karavali Utsav grounds and religious sites, with 180 saplings at Shree Mahaganapathi Temple, Urwa, during Vinayak Chaturthi.

Seeing wildlife encroach on human settlements for food, we traced the cause—vanishing traditional land reserves. Partnering with the Karnataka Forest Department, we planted trees in the Western Ghats to support wildlife. Additionally, we began cleaning polluted river sources, striving for a future where humans and nature thrive together.

Planting for the Future: A Simple Habit to Restore Nature

With pollution and urbanization depleting nature’s resources, it’s time to give back. The solution is simple: plant fruit-bearing trees and make it a lifelong habit. Every June and July, plant at least a dozen saplings. Mark special occasions by planting trees and nurturing them for just a few years. Encourage family, friends, and communities to join in. Partner with schools and social organizations to expand green cover. These small steps ensure a healthier planet and a greener future for generations to come. Start today—because every tree planted is a step toward restoring nature’s balance.

Our Vision & Mission

A sustainable world where nature thrives.

Mission:

Our mission is to protect the environment through tree plantations, pollution control, and legal advocacy by filing PILs against environmental harm. We also empower communities with awareness and education, fostering collective responsibility for a greener, healthier future.

Meet Our Founder: Shashidar Shetty

My spiritual connection with Mother Nature dates back to my school days. We lived in a place which was covered from all corners by the lush green forests of the Western Ghats. Like me, daily over 100 pupils crossed streams and rivers, climbed hills and walked through the woods to reach the school, which was about eight kilometres away from home. Living in the lap of Mother Nature, we children never felt hungry though there was no abundance of food those years.
